Alright so... this next pair of reviews are quite short and so I'm posting them together. Enjoy.

Micah by Laurell K. Hamilton
Short Reread Review
I liked Micah a lot. It was short, sweet, and packed a good chunk of backstory in.
The Golden Age of Magic by Luanne G. SmithOverall, an interesting take on the Fairy Godmothers and decently entertaining story. I quite enjoyed the characters, though they mostly remained exactly as we found them. Celeste grew a bit from her experience, but I don’t think it was super drastic. The Golden Age of Magic is pretty chill, no puns intended.
I definitely feel the antagonist was mustache-twirly when eventually revealed. His motivations weren’t that deep, but I wasn’t really expecting them to be by that point. I did, however, realize who the antagonist had to be fairly quickly when it was revealed someone else actually wasn’t.
I also enjoyed the glimpses of the magic system. It was simple enough to follow, though I am curious as to the origins of the Fae Gardienne. Ah well, best not to think too hard about it.
So yeah, The Golden Age of Magic is chill and fun. A nice little read.
